Early Childhood Educator

More than just supervision

Little Beginnings Education can set your child up for success

At Little Beginnings your child is not just a number to watch over for the day.

Our qualified WA early childhood educators use the Early Years Learning Framework to help shape how your child learns, communicates and interacts with the world. Our team is handpicked to guide your child through these important early years with purpose, patience and genuine care.

An Early Childhood Educator is trained to understand our young children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Rather than simply providing basic care, we create experiences that encourage curiosity, independence and confidence. A simple activity like building with blocks becomes a chance to explore problem-solving. Story time helps build language skills and imagination. Even play with other children teaches cooperation, empathy and resilience. These everyday moments are carefully guided so your child is always learning while they play.

What's the difference between daycare/childcare and early education?

Often used interchangeably, but early education and day care are not the same thing. Day care often focuses on simple supervision and keeping children occupied, often in larger groups and restricted spaces.

An Early Childhood Educator takes a more intentional approach helping young children develop vital life skills that will serve them throughout their schooling years and beyond.

This includes planning activities based on developmental stages, helping babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers build the skills they need for the next stage of life. Learning happens through play, exploration, creativity and gentle guidance. Instead of simply filling the day with activities, we focus on experiences that support language development, emotional regulation, social skills, and early literacy.

Think of it as the difference between simply passing the time and using that time to build a strong foundation for the future.

Personalised care for every child

The Small Group Advantage

Little Beginnings Education is dedicated to providing a high quality early childhood education experience to every child that comes into our care. We deliberately keep our group size small to ensure each child gets the personalised attention and care they deserve.

This small group setting allows our educators to take the time to really understand each child’s personality, interests, and learning style. Some children learn best through movement and hands-on play, while others enjoy quiet activities like drawing, puzzles, or listening to stories. In the small group, we are able to be flexible in our planning and adapt activities to suit.

By observing how children interact with the world around them, an early childhood educator can gently guide learning in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. This personalised approach helps children feel safe, supported, and confident as they grow.

Through music, movement, storytelling, and guided play, children begin to develop language, motor skills, and emotional awareness. These early experiences form the building blocks for later learning and help children develop the confidence to explore the world around them.

Our exceptional school readiness program ensures that every student is calm, confident and prepared for their school career from the beginning.

Our program goes beyond developing early literacy and numeracy skills, it builds essential interpersonal skills that will help smooth the transition into formal learning; learn how to share ideas, follow instructions, and participate in group activities.
